Branford. As those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty,
the report does not include names. It may be edited for length and content.
Branford
Wednesday, Nov. 12
• A 27-year-old New Haven man was
arrested at 5:30 a.m. and charged with larceny in the second degree, larceny in
the sixth degree, and robbery in the third degree.
• A 51-year-old
woman of Highland Avenue
was arrested at 3 p.m. and charged with possession of narcotics and obtaining a
controlled substance by fraud and deceit.
• A 49-year-old
woman of Circle Drive was issued a misdemeanor summons at 9 a.m. for evading
responsibility in the operation of a motor vehicle following an accident in
which there was property damage and/or bodily injury.
• A 37-year-old Guilford man was issued a
misdemeanor summons at 10:06 a.m. for failure to have insurance after he was
stopped for failure to wear a seat belt in the front seat for which he was also
charged.
Thursday, Nov. 13
• A 34-year-old man
of unrecorded address was arrested at 1 p.m. and charged with violation of
probation.
• A 29-year-old East Haven man was arrested at 2:27 p.m. on a warrant
held by Branford police charging him with failure to appear in the second
degree.
Friday, Nov. 14
• A 38-year-old man
of a Leetes Island Road
apartment was arrested at 6:45 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to
appear in the first degree and violation of a protective order.
• A 39-year-old Guilford woman was
arrested at 12:05 p.m. and charged with larceny in the fifth degree.
Saturday, Nov. 15
• A 42-year-old New Milford woman was arrested at 12:48 a.m. and charged
with breach of peace and assault in the third degree.
• A 26-year-old man
of a Briarwood Lane
apartment was arrested at 3:13 p.m. on a warrant and turned over to the
authority that held the warrant.
• A 44-year-old New Haven woman was
arrested at 6:11 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree
(shoplifting).
Sunday, Nov. 16
• A 23-year-old Meriden man was arrested
at 1:15 a.m. and charged with manufacture/possession of burglar’s tools,
criminal trespass in the second degree, criminal mischief in the third degree,
larceny in the third degree, and conspiracy.
• A 33-year-old Milford man was arrested
at 1:44 a.m. and charged with criminal mischief in the second degree, breach of
peace, and sexual assault in the fourth degree.
• A 29-year-old West Haven man was
arrested at 1:56 a.m. and charged with manufacture/possession of burglar’s
tools, criminal trespass in the second degree, criminal mischief in the third
degree, larceny in the third degree, and conspiracy.
• A 52-year-old Oxford man was arrested
at 4:45 a.m. and charged with issuing a bad check.
• A 23-year-old man
of Glendale Place
was arrested at 8:16 a.m. and charged with breach of peace.
Monday, Nov. 17
• A 21-year-old Guilford man was arrested
at 4 p.m. and charged with larceny in the sixth degree (shoplifting).
• A 45-year-old Meriden man was issued a
misdemeanor summons at 8:40 a.m. for operating a motor vehicle while under
license suspension.

• A 41-year-old
woman of Foxon Road
was issued a citation at 8:22 a.m. for using a hand held cell phone while
driving. She was operating a white Ford SUV.
Thursday, Nov. 13
No arrests were

• A 37-year-old Guilford man was issued a
citation at 4:47 p.m. for operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was
driving a blue 2004 Ford F150 pick-up.
Friday, Nov. 14
• A 47-year-old West Haven woman was
arrested at 10:15 p.m. and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol
and/or drugs and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.
• A 20-year-old North Haven man was issued a citation at 7:47 a.m. for
traveling unreasonably fast. He was operating a blue 1991 Saab 900.
• A 23-year-old Middletown man was issued
a written warning at 8:08 a.m. for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart
after a minor rear-end collision.
Saturday, Nov. 15
• A 53-year-old East Haven man was arrested at 11:26 p.m. for driving
while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and failure to obey a control
signal.
Sunday, Nov. 16
• A 20-year-old
North Haven man was arrested at 9 p.m. on a warrant charging him with failure
to appear in the second degree.
• A 45-year-old East
Haven man was issued a citation at 3:54 p.m. for passing in a no passing zone.
He was driving a green 1990 GMC Sierra pick-up truck.
Monday, Nov. 17
• A 20-year-old
Guilford man was arrested at 9:16 p.m. and charged with possession of less than
four ounces of marijuana and use and possession of drug paraphernalia after he
was stopped for speeding for which he was issued a citation.
• A 21-year-old man
of Middletown Avenue in Northford was issued a written warning at 11:50 a.m.
for failure to grant right of way to oncoming traffic while making a left turn
resulting in a collision.
• A 54-year-old
Madison woman was issued a citation at 5:53 p.m. for failure to obey a control
signal. She was driving a gray 2001 Honda Odyssey van.
• A 48-year-old man
of Saint Monica’s Drive was issued a written warning at 9:43 p.m. for failure
to grant right of way at a private road or driveway.
Tuesday, Nov. 18
• A 48-year-old
Guilford woman was arrested at 2 p.m. on a warrant charging her with failure to
appear in the second degree after she turned herself over to police.
• A 19-year-old man
of Knollcrest Drive in Northford was issued a written warning at 11:45 p.m. for
traveling unreasonably fast.
